This Privacy Policy explains how Audio to Textify ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use audiototextify.com (the "Service").

Information We Collect

  • Audio files you upload. When you use the Service to convert audio to text, we receive the audio file you submit for processing.
  • Transcript content. The text generated from your audio file, along with any edits you make to it within the Service.
  • Usage data. Information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and how you interact with the Service, collected automatically through standard web analytics.
  • Cookie data. See Section 3 below.
  • Account information. The Service does not require an account, so we do not collect name or email information for core transcription use.

How We Use Your Audio Files

  • Audio files you upload are processed solely to generate a text transcript and return it to you.
  • Audio files are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of transcript generation.
  • We do not sell your audio files or transcripts to third parties, and we do not use uploaded audio to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, understand how it's used, and — where advertising is enabled — to serve relevant ads.

  • Essential cookies keep core features working, such as file upload and the transcript editor.
  • Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand site usage. Google processes this data according to its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Advertising cookies. This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners, including through the DoubleClick DART cookie, may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Service function.

Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with service providers who help us operate the Service:

  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
  • AssemblyAI — speech-to-text processing
  • Google Analytics — usage analytics
  • Google AdSense — advertising (where enabled)

These providers are contractually limited to using your data only to provide services to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes except as described above for Google's advertising services.

Data Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) to protect uploaded files and transcripts while they are on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing.

  • If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR): our legal basis for processing usage data is legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service; for advertising cookies, our basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie settings or the opt-out links above.
  • If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for advertising purposes. We do not sell personal information for money.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16, where applicable under local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
